A name tag is often the first interaction a person will have with your company, be sure you make the very best impression. Hot stamping is one of the few processes that will accommodate a metallic logo on plastic. You may further customize your tags by selecting the material color, font, fastener and more.
Hot stamping is a method used to transfer foils to the plastic surface at high temperatures. Though the available colors for stamping are limited, the results can be stunning.
If you do not need a metallic color, you will save time and money by ordering a UV color name tag.

METAL STAMP FEES: Metal stamps are needed for the hot-stamping process and cover the cost of manufacturing the metal stamps. Your dies will be retained for future reorders.
REORDER SET-UP FEES: On future orders of this layout, you will save the cost of ordering new metal stamps by using the reorder application. The set-up fee for reorders covers the cost of preparing the machinery and dies to produce your product: $5.00 for a one-color logo (add $2.50 for each additional color).
STANDARD SIZES: The most common sizes for name tags are 0.75x2.75, 1x3, 1.25x3 1.5x3, 1.5x3.5, 2x3 inches.
SIZE: Multiply the width by the height to get the total square inches.
ART REQUIREMENTS: Vector artwork with a maximum of three colors is required for this product ( .eps or .ai ). More information on artwork requirements can be found here: nametag.com/resources/art-requiremnts.php.
MATERIAL COLORS: 30 material colors. Solid colors have a matte finish, metallic colors have either a brushed or polished finish, wood grains have a semi-glossy finish.
TEXT: Following the hot-stamping of your logo, the text will be laser engraved into the top surface of a two-ply plastic revealing the underlying color for a two-color effect.
LIST SUBMISSION: A list of all the information that will be engraved onto your name tags must be provided. We recommend entering/uploading this list on this order page. If that is not a possibility please email the list to nametag@nametag.com and provide your name and reference this order number. List Submission Guidelines.
UPGRADES: Dome surface enhances and protects the surface of the tag. Classy frames are available for 0.75x2.75 inch, 1x3 inch and 1.5x3 inch name tags. Call to order.
FASTENER: Our most popular option is the deluxe magnetic fastener ($1.10 per tag). We also have standard fasteners such as pins and bulldog clips.
POUCHES: Each name tag will come with a drawstring bag. For separate orders of the drawstring bag, check the Name Tag Pouch order page.
PRODUCTION: You will receive a proof within one business day of ordering. After proof approval we require four business days to produce your name tags.
SHIPPING: Shipping methods and costs will be selected during checkout.
PRICE INCLUDES: A Plastic tag with a one color hot-stamped logo that is under 4 square inches, one line of engraved text, and a standard fastener (pin, double clutch, swivel bulldog clip).

To find the total tag cost, follow these steps:
Additional square inches = ((height x width)-3) round down to the nearest integer) x price for each additional inch.
Total Price = Additional square inches + tag price from the table.
(e.g., For five 2 x 4 inch name tags with one line of text : (((2 x 4) – 3) x $0.67) + $5.91) = $9.26 each, $46.30 total product price.)
