Donation Spotlight: Water Mission

Our customers are amazing! And we like to say thank you through our donation program. We had the opportunity to donate to Water Mission.

“Water Builds Life,” says Lisa Cottingham, Director of Development of Water Mission.

Water Mission, formerly Water Missions International, sees the need to address a global water crisis. “We view the global water crisis as a problem that needs fixing, not a cause that needs unending donations,” said Cottingham. “We are resolving the crisis as we scale the work. The global water crisis is enormous, urgent; and is desperate for innovative, break through solutions. Therefore, we aspire to be experts and best in class in all aspects of our work.”

Water Mission is a nonprofit Christian engineering organization that designs, builds and implements safe water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) solutions for people in developing countries and disaster areas. Since 2001, Water Mission has used innovative technology and engineering expertise to provide access to safe water for more than 3 million people in 52 countries. Water Mission has over 200 staff members working around the world in permanent country programs located in Africa, Asia, North America, South America, Central America and the Caribbean.

“Our Mission is to be a best in class Christian Engineering Ministry that transforms lives through sustainable safe water solutions,” stated Cottingham. The organization’s values include compassion for those in need, excellence in their work and integrity in all their relationships and activities.

Donation Product: UV Name Tags

Due their name change, Water Mission recently went through a rebranding phase. Part of the rebranding included needing new name tags for their organization.

Coller Industries stepped in to help out the effort with a donation of name tags with Water Mission’s new logo.

“The new, rebranded name tags from Coller Industries Incorporated will help us present our brand and mission to the world,” said Cottingham. A UV color logo is a full color printing process. This process allows for quality, high resolution images with bright colors and gradients.

“The generous (donation) from Coller Industries allows us to devote more of our resources to providing safe water around the world,” said Cottingham. Water Mission also maintains a news blog to keep followers up to date on their actions and activities.

Maybe I should keep my name tag on all night! About 10 minutes later I met up with a friend of mine at a local ice cream shop. And that’s when it all started. That’s when the silence was broken. People began to say hello. Random students walked up to me and started conversations. Even complete strangers yelled “Hey Scott!” from across the room!”

“The only purpose of the name tag is for a customer to be able to refer to the name tag wearer in the context of a compliment or complaint. I wear a name tag every day and find that it isn’t a huge thing for me. However, I will say that name tags are generally considered appropriate in this particular field (banking). I do give credit to the executives here as everybody wears one, not just the peons.”

You see, my name tag represents friendliness, approachability, fun, creativity, uniqueness and casualness. Let’s face it, if you wear a name tag all day, every day, wherever you go, you will stand out, and people will notice.”

Name Tag Deficiency Syndrome (NTDS)

Is there really a condition called Emblema Nomenpenia (Name Tag Deficiency Syndrome)?

You better believe it.

Fact or Fiction: Emblema Nomenpenia (Name Tag Deficiency Syndrome) with three name tags with silly names.

Please know that Emblema Nomenpenia impacts everyone.

“Over a half of a million people suffer every year from Emblema Nomenpenia, more commonly known as Name Tag Deficiency Syndrome (NTDS),” said Scott Ginsberg, The Nametag Guy.

“This debilitating condition has run rampant through the American business community for many decades, experts say, although only recently has it been classified,” explained Ginsberg.

The first thing to do is to check for any of the symptoms.

You may experience localized font shrinkage, inflammation of the company logo, noticeable eye irritation due to cluttered texts, absence of upper chest name tag placement and mild conversational uncertainty and frustration.

Other symptoms may include adhesive residue. Holes in the same spot on all of your shirts. Weird looks from other people as if they can’t see where your name tag is. Fidgeting with a lanyard to make sure your credentials are visible. And the list goes on.

Second, beware of the possible side effects.

Beware of sudden, severe attacks of name forgetting. There is also a possibility of networking anxiety and unapproachable behavior. You may experience missed opportunities to make new friends or business contacts. And it may even cause feelings of annoyance due to the inability to say hello to a new member or employee whose name you cannot read because their name tag is turned backward.

Other side effects of NTDS can include embarrassment from a poorly located or illegible name badge. Awkward gazes at your figure from others. And not being recognized for who you are.

While NTDS is completely “made up,” the side effects are serious! However, this disease is easily treatable and completely curable!

Don’t panic! The last thing to do is to remain calm; you can fix this!
