How We Show Gratitude & Appreciation

These are big words: gratitude, appreciation, community. And their meanings are even more significant!

these special valentines show how much gratitude and appreciation comes from our annual GEF donationEvery year around this time, Coller Industries receives a special package. Inside this package are not only handwritten thank you Valentines, but also lots and lots of love. We receive these cards every year due to our annual donations to the Granite Education Foundation. And every year, our hearts are filled with gratitude and appreciation for those in our community.

Enclosed in the package is also a letter from the board of Granite Education Foundation:

Hey, Valentine!

Exchanging heartfelt messages on Valentine’s Day is a well-loved tradition. While the earliest Valentines were little more than hastily scribbled notes, today we can choose from thousands of varieties, each designed for a specific relationship in our lives. A hundred years ago, only sweethearts exchanged Valentine’s Day cards, but the practice has spread to encompass friends, family, colleagues and supporters.

This year, Granite Education Foundation and students from throughout Granite School District want to express our heartfelt thanks for your continued generosity and support. Enclosed you will find hand-made Valentine’s Day cards that our students created with YOU in mind.

Each board member signs this letter as a token of their gratitude and appreciation for all our donation does for teachers, students and the school district.

Federal and state funds do not meet the immense needs of our students, teachers and schools. The Granite Education Foundation provides access to resources that improve educational outcomes.

We provide educational opportunities for students of Granite School District.

We educate students, teachers and members of our community on ways to impact our community. Together, we CAN make a difference! We gather and give resources the GRANITE way. We impact children and teachers in public education. We advocate, inform and promote learning for students and their families.

The lessons we learn from helping in our community teaches us how to be grateful for what we have. And when we realize what we have, we give even more back to those around us.

Coller Industries is known for their impact in the community through product donations. But the annual contribution to GEF is the one donation that we deem the most poignant. We are giving to the schools, the children, and most importantly, we are providing for our future.

These actions we make each year fill our hearts with gratitude and appreciation for those around us. Those who strive every day to make a difference in the world. So, yes, we receive thank you cards, but we feel that we are the ones who should be the most grateful. And that, in essence, is why we give donations.

Giving More Than Name Tags

The season of giving is in the air, and so are name tags!

With this being the season for giving, Coller Industries enjoys stretching out a helping hand. And while we donate our time and products all year round, this season is especially important. Giving and gratefulness go hand in hand! So we would like to express this gratuity. So, thank you to all of the organizations to which we provide donations, and Circles of Salt Lake is no exception.

Circles of Salt Lake, as part of Circles USA, “believes no one should live in poverty. We believe strongly the responsibility for both poverty and prosperity rests not only in the hands of individuals, but also with societies, institutions, and communities. Our mission is to inspire and equip families and communities to thrive and resolve poverty.”

Ryan Gregersen, Coach and Program Coordinator at Circles Salt Lake, says, “Circles is a national initiative, new to Salt Lake. And we are excited to serve our community.”

With being the go-to specialist for all personal identification needs, Coller Industries enjoys donating name tags and other custom items. These items go to those who reach out to their communities. Part of our community of caring means that we also give back to the community.

We print on a polar white plastic to make our thermal transfer process boost and brighten every color. This process will make your images and logos print in crisp, bright full color.

“Thank you for the donation of name tags!” exclaimed Gregersen. “These have been incredibly useful as we are just getting off the ground with our Salt Lake office, and are beginning to grow awareness about Circles in our community. In just the few days we’ve had the name tags, we’ve worn them to (several) conferences. They have helped in starting conversations about our organization. And this has led to building partnerships with community agencies, finding participants for our program, and recruiting volunteers.”

Whether it is name tags, personalized ribbons or lanyards, Coller Industries strives to show our gratuity through seasonal and year-round giving! And, we hope that all of our customers have a happy holiday season.

Giving to Kids to Inspire Our Community

Sometimes it isn’t about the name tags, but rather the giving of ourselves!

Coller Industries has long been giving back to our community. And those who follow us know that frequently giving donations is just something we love doing. Our most recent donation was to a fantastic company who gives everything back to their community.

Jane Elizabeth Macioci, Digital Media Volunteer for Clothes To Kids, explains how CTKF works.

giving back to our community through donations to our customers helps us to be better

Clothes To Kids is unique in how it provides clothing to those that are eligible for their services.

“Imagine shopping, with the assistance of a personal shopper, in a department store, trying on various articles of clothing, choosing those items that fit well and look good, checking out but not having to spend any money. Remarkable. Children who shop at CTKF leave with clothing of their choosing and their self-esteem intact. Families do not need to forgo the necessities of food, clothing and housing to purchase clothing that their children long to own to fit in with their peers.”

Clothing can change a life. Our mission is to provide new and quality used clothing to low-income or in-crisis school-age children in Fairfield County, Connecticut – free of charge. Clothes To Kids of Fairfield County envisions a community in which every school-age child has quality clothing so that he or she may attend school with the confidence and self-esteem needed to achieve academic success.

Adding a logo to a name tag emphasizes the professional side of your business. Full-color printing brings logos to life in colorful detail. There are no limits to the number of colors, color blends and shading. Premium UV printing is the best way to highlight your logo. The logo is printed on a plastic tag, and the text is engraved into the two-ply plastic.

Creating Unity Through Education

Granite Education Foundation (GEF) and Coller Industries Incorporated are working together, again!

Due to our donations and continual support, Granite Education Foundation invited Coller Industries to attend this year’s Excel Evening of Honors. The “EXCEL Evening of Honors” was held on April 21st.

Granite Education Foundation (GEF) and Coller Industries Incorporated are working together, again!Every year, Granite Education Foundation supporters gather to recognize outstanding teachers, administrators and community members whose personal commitment and contribution impacts 67,000 students in the Granite School District.

The annual EXCEL Award publicly honors and recognizes educators who raise the bar of their profession. The award recognizes teaching that incites intellectual curiosity in students, engages them thoroughly in the enterprise of learning, and has a lifelong impact.

Winners are nominated by school administrators, parents, colleagues and students through an intensive application process. A selection committee then reviews each application. Members of this Excel Selection Committee then surprise each winner at their school with the announcement. This interaction was recorded and shared at the presentation event.

The committee received over a thousand nominations and had to select only ten winners.

Gary Coller, President of Coller Industries, said, “I look forward to this every year, it’s an honor to be around great educators and dedicated professionals who support them. (With ten great teachers honored), and I was able to present an award to a teacher whose mother has also been recognized as a teacher of the year.”

She feels children exude great curiosity and seemingly limitless creativity.

“Ms. Lehnardt is exactly what my son needed in first grade. Her passion for teaching and learning shines through and really inspired him to love going to school.” -Parent

Ramona Braunberger, Marketing Manager for Coller Industries, said, “Emily is the educator you want (for your child). It is very apparent that she cares about the kids and is excited about teaching.”

During the gala, each winner received a special “Excel Award,” a gift basket, a monetary award, and other generous gifts to recognize their achievements.

“Every year we have the phenomenal opportunity to recognize educators who exemplify the values and mission of Granite School District,” said Dr. Martin W. Bates, Granite School District Superintendent.

“These individuals have demonstrated exceptional teaching skills and a commitment to student success. In addition, they provide meaningful contributions to their school community, and are constantly seeking ways to improve the educational experience of their students,” said Dr. Bates.

Congratulations to the 2017 GEF Excel Winners!

Why Honor Teachers?

Research shows that students with high-performing teachers can progress three times as fast as students with low-performing teachers. Effective educators can influence the climate of the entire school. Their commitment, passion, expertise, and creativity are infectious. Students love them because they make learning fun and engaging. Administrators love them because they get results. Parents love them because they affirm their student’s potential.

In the face of increasing class sizes and insufficient funding and resources, the majority of Granite District teachers are dipping into their own pockets and their own time to bridge the gap for their students. Educators are finding progressive and engaging solutions to institutional problems and changing the world, one child at a time.

Coller Industries is proud to be a part of this process. While our role is small in comparison to these educators, we are still happy that we get to take part. Our children’s education has a direct impact on our business as we like to focus on working in our community. Helping out our local community is a large part of what defines the generosity of Coller Industries Incorporated.

3 Practical Reasons for Corporate Gifting

Corporate gifting is one of the best ways to grow and maintain your business.

using name tags for your corporate gifting this year is just as important as picking out the right wrapping and ribbonsThere are many reasons for corporate gifting that range from thanking consumers for their business to recognizing employees for outstanding work. But, the primary reason seems always to be the same. It is to sustain relationships and deepen the personal connection between the giver and the recipient.

Most companies agree that this fundamental reason is an opportunity to share your holiday cheer, connect with your clients and strengthen employee ties. Recruiting, retention and development are three other great reasons to give a corporate gift.

But here are the best three reasons to give a corporate gift!

Giving

The holidays are built on the premise of giving and volunteering in your community. No matter the reason for giving anything, you should only expect one thing back: a friendly smile, a “please” or “thank you,” or maybe even a hug. But no matter what you give, it is the thought that counts.

Wrapping

Some people just possess the talent to wrap gifts perfectly. Some don’t. But, no matter if you’re one of these wonderful people or not, everyone loves to get a wrapped present! Don’t sell your gifts short with bland packaging or by not even wrapping them. Choose bright, happy and seasonal gift wrap for your corporate gifting.

Name Tags

Last is the most important, right? Well, we sure think so! Name tags and other personal identification products are great ideas for corporate gifts. Whether it’s a new name badge for your employees or an executive desk wedge for your best customer, we’re sure to have the right gift for your needs!

Why not be unique and give everyone in the office a fun, new lanyard!

Spend the time and money on the wrapping to reflect the value of your client and employee relationships. But remember, choosing the right gift for your associates is just as important as the packaging. Add your personal flair with custom ribbons today! Need a great idea for a gift to give?
