Summer Fun In The Sun with Coller Industries

Every year, Coller Industries Incorporated honors a job well done for their employees by hosting a summer party and barbecue. This year the party was held at a local park here in Utah. There was fun for all ages and the employees were encouraged to bring their families. Food (BBQ) was provided and there were games and a bounce house for the kids.

Hats off to the catering company (R&R Barbeque) for providing the overly delicious food! We had the whole spread: BBQ ribs, chicken wings, beef brisket, mashed potatoes and gravy, baked beans and rolls.

Many of the employees were able to attend this year and were happy to have been included. While we’re not about tooting our own horns, as we like to focus on the needs of our customers, we would like to give a shout out to Coller Industries and the Coller family for providing such a wonderful activity for our employees. And here’s how we say thank you!

Kylie (Production) “The summer BBQ was a great hit. The food was fantastic and weather was great. I personally enjoyed being with friends, family, and coworkers on such a wonderful day.”

Traci (Customer Service) “We had a blast at the summer party! The kids ran around having fun with water and in the bounce house. The adults enjoyed some relaxed conversation and delicious BBQ.”

Aimee (Customer Service) “It was a beautiful day (and) we had a very good turn out of employees and their families. It was nice to see everyone having such a good time. The food was excellent this year and the bounce house was a hit with the kids.”

Eddie (Design) “The summer party overall was really a good time! (The park) was clean, had a play place for kids, big open grass area, and the bouncer of course. Also the basketball courts. Now the food, was FIRE (great)! Great environment, atmosphere, food, makes for a great party!”

Donation Spotlight: St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Houston Youth Adult League

Once again, we’d like to say thank you to all of our customers by highlighting our most recent donation activities. We were contacted by Tiffany Antony of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Houston Youth Adult League. Antony is the DYA Regional Coordinator for the church. Here are some wonderful details about the organization and how we were able to help!
Tiffany Antony, DYA Regional Coordinator, said “(The church is) a new and upcoming diocese. The mission of the Diocesan Youth Apostolate is to unite all young people of the Diocese in response to the Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ by encouraging the formation of a deep interior life that overflows into genuine service to the Church and to the world.”

History of St. Joseph Catholic Church:
In 1879, the Sisters of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament founded a school near (the church) site to serve Houston’s Sixth Ward. One year later, St. Joseph Parish was founded …to serve the school and surrounding community. This Romanesque Revival structure, designed by Patrick S. Rabbit and built in 1901, replaced the earlier sanctuary (that was) destroyed in the great hurricane of 1900. http://www.stjoseph6thward.org/

Antony said, “We are hosting a leadership conference for all the youth in the Texas and Oklahoma region this summer. The donation will help (the church) to be able to provide an easy way for people attending our conferences to meet one another and get to know one another. The name badges will have also have cabin and group numbers so that people will know where to go.”

To Wear, or Not To Wear. What is a Name Tag?

Many people feel that name tags are pointless and kind of a pain to wear. While most of these people will complain about wearing a name badge, they can all agree on one thing. That is the point of the identification in the first place. So, what is a name tag?

This cartoon came from attending one of those business events where I had to wear a name tag.”
