PREPARING YOUR ARTWORK TO BE SUBMITTED
If you have used fonts (text) in the creation of your file please convert them to curves or outlines-if this is not possible it may be necessary for you to provide the necessary font files. If you are sending a compressed file, please make sure it is a self-expanding file or that it is compressed using WinZIP. Unfortunately, we cannot consider photocopies, business cards, faxes, letterhead or other printed products to be camera-ready artwork. We can quote most jobs by using such artwork, but we cannot use this art for production. Artwork submitted should be PC compatible. If you are want to submit files that have been created on a Macintosh, please convert ALL text to curves and save in a PC compatible format. COLOR CONSIDERATIONS
Pantone Matching System (PMS) colors are the best way to let us know what colors are expected. We make reasonable efforts to match these colors, however we do not offer exact color matches due to limitations of the production processes. The color of stamped logos, engraved logos and surfaces are limited to available materials. Variations in materials, stamping foils, printer ribbons, equipment, and environmental factors preclude any guarantee of color. CONVERTING LOW QUALITY IMAGES TO HIGH QUALITY ART
It is not possible to convert a low quality image into a vector file simply by saving it in a vector format. When this is attempted the low quality image is simply embedded in the new file--no conversion takes place. It is not possible to change a low quality image to a higher quality image simply by saving it with higher dpi settings. The image will have more dots per inch—but the quality will remain the same or even degrade further. For your convenience we offer artwork clean-up/conversion for the low price of $30 per image. Clean-up/conversion will not be done until you have approved the clean-up/conversion, and you will be charged for this service even if an order is not completed (you can request the new file be sent to you upon payment of your order). There is a 24 hour turnaround required for this service with no expediting available. DIE RETENTION: HOT-STAMPED LOGOS & RIBBONS
Dies used for name tags or name plates will be retained for a period of 18 months after the most recent order. Reorders occurring after 18 months will require new dies and new die charges. Dies used for ribbons will not be saved unless specifically requested in which case additional charges may apply to retain them for 18 months. CUSTOMER SUPPLIED LAYOUTS
We do not accept customer supplied layouts. Our printing process requires that we use proprietary software. We can not print directly from Illustrator, Acrobat or other programs. When a customer sends files which have their names already placed on the tags, a proof will be created showing how the tags will look using our process. If each name must be placed exactly as shown in a customer supplied layout, the appropriate set-up fees will be charged for each tag submitted. (Set-up fees range from $25-$35)
