  • Width is usually between 3 and 3.5 inches
  • Height is usually between one and two inches
  • Try 3.5 width for logo on the side and full name
  • Try 1.25 height for 3 lines of engraving
  • Try 1.5 height for two lines with logo on top or bottom
  • Add .375 inches to the height for tags that require a slot to accomodate the fastener (clip on a strap or lanyard)
  • Bigger tags allow for larger letters and a "less busy" tag
  • Every tag will be custom designed to fit your needs

  • Maximum # lines for this quote process is 5.
  • Long lines = 16 - 25 characters (estimate or make a guess - skip spaces)
  • Extra long lines = 26 - 35 characters (estimate or make a guess - skip spaces)
  • If the first & last name are on different lines they can be counted as one line if using the same font and character size for both.
  • Two items on the same physical line that have different characteristics (size, adjustment, etc.) count as two lines.
  • The standard font is very similar to Ariel.

  • Most fasteners are attached directly to the back of the tag with an adhesive
  • The pin/clip combo requires a one inch high tag and 1.25 inches would be better
  • The pin is the most popular fastener; magnetic fasteners are the second most popular.

  • Tags are rectangular in shape unless a custom shape is ordered
  • Beveled edges are recommened as they give the tags a finished look regardless of the type of corners
  • Round corners provide a softer look and are highly recommended if working around children
  • Name Tag will have to approve all custom shapes
  • Classy tags are permanently set in a metallic frame (gold, silver or black) and enhance the look of a tag. They are the choice if you want something special.
