Beginning in mid-June Name Tag, Inc. will be switching from rotary and laser engraved name tags to exclusively laser engraved tags.

Why the Switch?

When we first introduced the laser engraved name tags late last year, initially the plan was to make the exclusive switch at that time; however, we did not want to force this change and wanted to give our customers the freedom to choose between the rotary and laser line. So over the past 6 months we have been gathering feedback from our customers to get their opinions - the overwhelming response on the clarity, precision and overall quality has shown us that you clearly prefer the laser line.

What Does This Mean for You?

Due to the positive response of the laser line, the switch to only laser engraving has enabled us to streamline our engraved name tag operations, thereby allowing us to reduce the laser engraved product lines pricing, on average, by 20%. While the old rotary system will still be available for our existing customers and their reorders, the switch to laser now means that we can offer a higher quality product at a lower price.

06/18/08 -- WELCOME TO THE NEW NAME TAG, INC.
- NEW HOME PAGE & NAME TAG PAGES -

It has been a little half a year since our last major revision but I'm happy to say that the updates are still coming along. With each new generation of pages we are incorporating your feedback and recommendations - with the single goal of trying to make the friendliest and easiest to use name tag site as possible.

Our latest update has brought about some major revisions - firstly, we are no longer separating our products by product type but rather by whether a name tag has a logo or not. Once you've made your decision as to whether you'd like a logo or not, then you can select the process that is best suited for your situation.

In addition, we are moving to a tabbed format for all of our product comparisons. Instead of having to redirect or open additional pages, with the tabbed system, you can easily compare one product type to another - all without having to deal with pop up or new windows. We are very excited about this new method and think that it will save you time and effort as you make your decisions.

Lastly, the old name tag ordering pages have been replaced with a new set of pages. The old pages involved multiple steps/pages and the supporting details opened in new windows - overall it was not as easy to use as we liked. In contrast, the new ordering pages are specific to the process that you are interested in. Furthermore, all of the steps are all on the same page and any additional information opens directly on the page as an expandable/closeable section.

With the engraved name tags finished, we will now be moving towards finishing the rest of the name tag product lines and have a new reusable name tag product that we are very excited to present in the next few weeks.

Incorporating the feedback we've received, our new look and layout is designed to increase functionality, maximize accessibility/ease of use, and to provide a better overall experience.

While we are changing the way we look, what is not changing is our commitment to our customers, by offering the same quality products supported with top customer service.

11/13/07 -- NEW LOOK FOR NAME TAG, INC.
- NEW NAVIGATION SYSTEM -

Incorporating the feedback we received from our customers, we have changed the navigation system for the Name Tag, Inc. web site to make it an easier to use and understand.

We've taken the navigation system from the left and have moved it to the top as a drop-down menu; however, the overall links are the same.

Hopefully this change will not only make the site easier to navigate, it also provides us with more room on each page -- space that will be used to provide additional page specific information as our web site continues to grow and evolve.

As always we continue to encourage additional feedback and suggestions, so let us know what you think about the new changes.

08/03/07 -- REUSABLE PRINTABLE PAPER INSERTS
- PAPER INSERTS FOR REUSABLE NAME TAGS -

In the past Name Tag, Inc. has offered alternatives for the name tag paper inserts that are included with the reusable window badges. Extra inserts could be purchased at various office stores, but due to the requests and feedback from our clients, we have now added the ability for our customers to purchase perforated paper inserts, directly from us, for their reusable window badges.

Much like our printable paper inserts for our ID badge holders, the printable inserts for the reusable window badges are available in packages of 10. Since we currently stock two styles/sizes of reusable badges, there are packages for both the small and large window badge sizes.

Name Tag, Inc. is proud to introduce our latest product line: custom laser engraved name tags.

Our clients will now have two options to choose from for their engraving needs: our new laser engraved line and our custom rotary engraved name tag line as well. While the laser engraved line is slightly more expensive, compared to the rotary line, the laser engraved line offers a few distinct advantages:

- Capability for complex and fine detail engraving
- Improved overall engraving quality
- Fixed cost for laser engraved logos per tag

06/04/07 -- NEW CUSTOM NAME TAG ORDERING PAGE

Our custom engraved name tags page has recently been updated/revised. To help simplify the ordering process, the old ordering page has been changed to our new standard ordering format.

Starting with the custom engraved name tags page, our new ordering format now consists of multiple pages, instead of a single one. By breaking the steps into multiple pages, we are now better able to present relevant information, specific to each product, in greater detail, while simultaneously simplifying the overall ordering process as well.

Look for this new multiple page ordering process to start replacing the older format, on the ordering pages for our various products, in the upcoming days/weeks.

We have recently changed the appearance of our home page. The resource center has been made more predominate and many of the links that were previously found on the left-side of the navigation bar have been relocated. 03/16/07 -- REVISED PREDEFINED NAME PLATE PAGES

- NEW PREDEFINED NAME PLATE ORDERING PAGES -

In our continuing effort to make the website as accessible and easy to use as possible, we have revised our predefined name plate pages. In addition to a new predefined name plate home page, we have also changed the order pages for each predefined style and have updated the uploading/emailing process for the name list.

A price table has also been added for each individual predefined style that not only lists the unit price for the plate but any additional charges to purchase holders and/or adhesives. Hopefully this extra convenience is much easier to read and understand as compared to our old pricing table.

As with the predefined name tags, downloadable spread sheets have been added help ease and speed up the ordering process. They do not need to be downloaded in order to upload your names, but are preformatted to our specifications to help minimize errors and mistakes.

03/02/07 -- IMPORTANCE OF NAME TAGS

- 4 TIPS FROM SETH GODIN-

Bestselling author, entrepreneur and agent of change, Seth Godin recently wrote in his blog about his love for name tags.

In his post, Mr. Godin lists 4 helpful tips to maximize the effectiveness of any tag:

"Doing a name tag right isn't easy. Here are my rules:

a. BIG first name
b. positioned in a place where you can see it
c. ideally two-sided, on a short lanyard (why on earth would you make a one-sided lanyard tag?)
d. a piece of information that is an ice breaker."

02/21/07 -- DOWNLOADABLE SPREADSHEETS

- NAMES TO BE ENGRAVED SPREADSHEETS -

Though there is currently a page already set up to help explain the format in which we would like a list of names to be engraved to appear in, the overall process can be a little confusing and tricky for those unfamiliar to our system.

To help simplify this process, we have created a spreadsheet for each of our predefined name tag styles -- 11 in total. Each spreadsheet will be specific to that particular style -- simply download the spreadsheet, replace the default text with your own, and upload it back to us -- simple and fast.

Though you don't have to use these predefined spreadsheets for your name entering needs, they are small to download and will provide the text/information that we require for your tags, in the necessary format. Using the spreadsheet will ensure that the ordering process runs smoothly and efficiently.

To see these new spreadsheets, simply select a predefined name tag style and scroll down Step 9: "NAMES TO APPEAR ON NAME TAGS"

02/15/07 -- HOT STAMP COLORS

- CUSTOM TAGS & PLATES: HOT STAMP COLORS -

In most cases, for the highest quality logo on your custom name tags and/or name plates, we recommend hot stamping. Unlike an engraved logo, a hot stamp logo generally can accept more complex designs and can include multiple colors.

For your convenience, a new web page has been created to display all the various hot stamp colors that we currently offer. While the page gives a good general idea of the colors that we offer, if an exact color match is required for your logo, we highly recommend that you contact our customer service department.

10/06/06 -- UPLOAD ISSUES FIXED | NEW RESOURCE ARTICLE

- UPLOAD ISSUES RESOLVED -

I was recently informed by the customer service center that we've been having issues with the uploading option on some of our products, primarily the predefined and custom name tags. A customer/client would upload a file but the file would never reach our server and we could not proceed with the order.

The cause of this error was proprerly identified and corrected, so all future orders should now be error-free. Sorry for the inconvenience.

- NEW RESOURCE ARTICLE -

The resource center was created in hopes of gathering a variety of resources, articles, tutorials to help our clients with their decision making and to inform them of our products, procedures, etc.

The 1st Name Tag article, "Engraved VS Full Color Name Tags" lists the basics for both styles of name tags and also provides the advantages and disadvantages of each style. It is a short read and will hopefully help our clients when they are deciding on which format/style would best suit their needs.

09/27/06 -- CUSTOM NAME TAGS | INCREASED FONT SIZES

Since creating a constant web site is one of our top priorities, I've been making adjustments and changes to the old custom engraved name tag page.

While I have yet finish the custom tag page, the ordering page has been simplified and formatted to follow the same format outlined on the predefined tag ordering pages. As I continue to revise the rest of our pages/products, the same format will be applied to these finished pages as well.

Also, I received a very helpful suggestion from a visitor who recommended that we increase the font size of the text on our site. This is something that I too have been interested in doing and I've already taken the steps to do so for the font on the home page. This will be something that will definitely be phased in as I continue working on and revising all our pages, so keep an eye out for it.

For engraved name tags we currently offer both predefined and custom name tags. To help clarify the differences, the engraved name tag page has been revised.

Essentially if you are looking for tag with a logo, hot-stamped or engraved, than a custom name tag is the way to go; otherwise, use one of the 11 predefined templates to save time and money.

09/12/06 -- 1ST POST IN THE NEW NAME TAG, INC. BLOG

Welcome to the very 1st post in the Name Tag, Inc. blog. My name is Aarin and I am the webmaster/marketing manager for Name Tag, Inc. and I will be in charge with the maintanence and updating of this new blog feature for Name Tag, Inc.

Why the blog? Well we created this blog with a few goals in mind:

1) We are hoping to personalize the web site as much as possible. Hopefully by having a blog, we can generate input and comments from our users as opposed to simply making changes and then forgetting about them once they go live.

2) As a way to keep our guests and clients informed about the changes implemented on the web site: from new pages, new products, to revisions and constant updates.

3) We are also hoping that both visitors and clients will use this resource as a way to not only stay informed but as a way to leave feedback, suggestions and also as a way to communicate with us as well -- what works, what doesn't, what changes would you like, new products, etc.

As the webmaster I am constantly working on making the web site as easy to use and accessible as possible. We realize that a lot of the terms that we use on the site, while common and first-nature to us, are foreign and often times confusing to those unfamiliar to the industry. Therefore, I highly encourage anyone, who has any questions, comments, or suggestions to please utilize this resource -- it is here not only for us, but for you as well.
