Question 2) Where should I start my order? 2) You can start your order with Name Tag, Inc. either by phone or online. Phone: please call, toll-free, at 800-272-5729 to speak with a live customer service representative--they will gladly help choose the best product to meet your need and will guide you through the ordering process. Online: Browse our website, examine our products, and when you are ready order online: Please follow the order form, checking or selecting options that apply, until your order is finished. You should receive a response from Name Tag, Inc. confirming your order, shortly. Return to the FAQ Section Question 3) I have an idea of what I want, can Name Tag, Inc. design and lay it out for me? 3) Yes. Even if you only have an idea, logo, or image of something you want on your tag, our group of dedicated designers can help arrange and layout the design for your custom work--their design will be faxed to you as a proof (see answer #4) and a copy of the camera-ready logo will be sent to you via email so that you'll also have a copy of the logo for future uses. Please note: Name Tag, Inc. DOES NOT create logos. This service is only to brush up and enhance your existing image.
Return to the FAQ Section Question 4) What is a proof? 4) When you have a custom work to be engraved or printed, a proof is what Name Tag, Inc. provides, through fax, to show you the preliminary layout and design of your custom work. Almost all of our custom designed products require a proof and the standard production time for a designer to create a proof is two days. This process, however, can be expedited (hastened) to as early as the same day--additional fees apply. If revisions or changes to the proofs are needed, simply fax and inform us of the changes. The standard proof revision time is one day, however, revisions are made within 4 hours for proofs that have been expedited. Production DOES NOT begin until you are completely satisified with the proof. Return to the FAQ Section Question 5) How are my custom name tags made? 5) Our vast name tag color options are possible because we use 1/16 inch thick engravable two ply plastic laminate as the base material for our name tags. Essentially, we take the two colors you've chosen and create a name tag composed of two separate colored layers. As the text or logo is engraved on the tag, the top layer, which is the background color for the tag, is etched away while the engravings now emerge as the color of the second layer. This gives us the flexibility to mix and match the color preferences you need, while our state-of-the-art computer engraving systems precisely etch and engrave your text, names, logos, etc. Return to the FAQ Section Question 6) What is the logo die and how does that affect my name tag order? 6) In order to hot stamp your logo onto a name tag we need the specific die colors found on your logo. The vast combinations and color possibilites means that we can not possibly carry all of the various dies. Therefore, we custom order them and normally it takes 5 business days to order and receive the dies; however for a $15.00 expedited logo fee, we can order and receive it within 2 days. If your tag has a colored logo, we CAN NOT begin producing the tag even if you have approved of the proof UNTIL after we have received your custom color dies. Therefore the production of name tags with colored logos are based on the approval of the proof AND on the arrival time of your dies. Return to the FAQ Section Question 7) How should I provide the texts, instructions, images, or logos to be engraved/printed to Name Tag, Inc.? Are there preferred formats to follow? 7) Name Tag, Inc. can accept text via fax or phone, but we prefer that all texts to be engraved or printed to be uploaded/sent to us. You will be able to upload the text on the ordering page or you can send it as a text or spreadsheet attachment, via email. We are able to take your attachment and input it directly into our our state-of-the-art machinery--thereby reducing costs and speeding up your order. Please note: there will be extra data entry charges, applied to each name tag, if text is provided via paper, fax, or phone for the time spent by Name Tag, Inc. typing and entering the text. For images and logos: we recommend camera-ready, high-resolution artwork in EPS, AI, or CDR file formats. Please upload the artwork or attach and send it via email. Please note that it is not possible to engrave or print all logos, images, and colors; please call or email to verify if you are uncertain. Return to the FAQ Section Question 8) Am I typing the text to be engraved correctly? 8) As addressed previously in answer #5, names and/or other text is to be engraved must be provided to Name Tag, Inc. in a digital format file. The information will be copied directly to Name Tag, Inc's. engraving system software WITHOUT ANY modification or changes. Any errors in the presentation or layout of the data will therefore, result in bad name tags. Please be very careful when you enter the names and/or text--enter text EXACTLY (including upper/lower case) as it is to appear on your name tags. The most common mistake is with extra spacing: Please don't put extra spaces in between or after names--use the enter key to separate names. Name Tag, Inc. believes that you shouldn't have to pay more to get more, and as long as your tags are identical in layouts and colors then you'll save with our quantity discount pricing. We offer quantity discounts at increments of 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000 and more. So buy more and save! In the Continental United States our standard shipping is provided through insured UPS Ground - charges will be shown on the invoice and the order will be shipped as soon as possible--extra charges for Alaska and Hawaii. Name Tag, Inc. can also ship through the U.S. Postal Service -- small packages may be sent via first class mail. With certain products and the expedited production option, Name Tag, Inc. can ship out your products the very same day as long as the order is received by 11:00 A.M. Mountain Time. The layout/design of your tag and the quantity purchased will greatly influence how quickly you can receive your products. The expedited production fee percentage is based on the price of tags and the expedited fees WILL NOT be charged if expedited times are not met. Products that require custom work, designs, and development time are subject to setup fees, dependent on the specific product you are purchasing. HOWEVER, products that are taken off the shelf and do not have production times DO NOT incur setup fees. For returning customers & reorders, most setup fees are greatly reduced and some are completely waived. Please check online or call for specific details. For initial orders there is a minimum purchase quantity; that amount depends on what you are purchasing. The name tag price calculator can be used to calculate estimates for the following name tags: blank, engraved, logo only, engraved with logo, classy (name tags encased by a frame), and custom shape. We accept all major card credits: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. Name Tag, Inc. will also consider accepting PO's from Governmental, Educational and Non Profit entities and for reorders from previous customers. We also accept checks, however, we reserve the right to hold the order until the check clears; if this is the case, you will be notified. To avoid the possibility of waiting for your check to clear, we can process a faxed copy of your check. Name Tag, Inc. will print a duplicate check and process your order immediately; you simply write VOID on your copy. Name Tag, Inc. believes very strongly in its quality and we only use the highest grade material for all our products; therefore we warrant our products to be free of defects for a period of one year after purchase. Defective products will be replaced, returned to Name Tag, Inc. for repair, or have replacement parts sent to the user at our option. Name Tag, Inc. does not accept returns of custom made products or special order products; however, standard products we normally stock can be returned for 100% credit to be applied towards other purchases or a refund will be issued after the deduction of a 15% restocking fee. Name Tag, Inc. is only responsible for replacement or repair of defective merchandise and is not responsible for any consequential damages.
