2) HOW DO I ORDER?

YOU MAY BEGIN YOUR ORDER AT NAME TAG, INC. EITHER BY PHONE OR ONLINE.

PHONE: Call 1-800-272-5729 toll free and speak with a customer service representative--they will gladly help you find the best product to meet your needs and will guide you through the ordering process.

ONLINE: Browse our web site to examine our products, and when you are ready order follow the instructions on the online order form, checking or selecting options that apply, until your order is finished. You will receive a response from Name Tag, Inc. to confirm you order.

3) I ONLY HAVE A SKETCHY IDEA OF WHAT I WANT MY NAME TAGS TO LOOK LIKE, CAN NAME TAG INC. DESIGN MY TAGS FOR ME?

Yes. Let us know what your idea is, or our group of dedicated designers can create a layout and design for your custom product —a proof (see answer #4) of your custom design will be emailed for your approval prior to production.

4) WILL I BE ABLE TO SEE MY CUSTOM TAG BEFORE ORDERING?

When you order a custom product a proof will be sent to you for your approval, giving you an opportunity to see what your tags will look like. (See question 5 for more information about proofs).

5) WHAT IS A PROOF?

When you order a custom product, a proof will be emailed to you as a PDF, to show you the layout and design. We require a proof that you have reviewed, signed and returned to Name Tag, Inc. to begin production of your product.

The standard production time for a designer to create a proof is two days. There is no charge for this service, if you need to expedite (hasten) your order, please let us know, as this time frame can be reduced (additional fees apply). If revisions or changes to the proofs are needed, inform us of the changes, by returning the proof with the changes noted. The standard proof revision time is one day, however, revisions are made within 4 hours for proofs that have been expedited.

Up to three proofs are included, at no cost. After the third proof, there is a $10.00 charge for each subsequent proof.

Production WILL NOT begin until an approved proof has been received by Name Tag, Inc.

6) HOW ARE MY CUSTOM TAGS MADE?

The style of tag you have chosen will determine how your tags are made, we offer three different ways your tags may be made depending on the style you have chosen.

LASER ENGRAVED: Your logo and/or text is added to each tag using high quality laser engraving to cut through the top layer of the 2 ply, 1/16 inch thick plastic exposing the underlying color. (VIEW VIDEO)

LASER ENGRAVED WITH HOT-STAMPED LOGO: Text is laser engraved using 1/16-inch engravable two-ply plastic. As the top layer is gently etched away, the bottom layer is revealed, creating a two-color name tag. Your logo is then hot-stamped onto your tag using single or multiple colors. (VIEW VIDEO)

FULL COLOR PRINTED: Full color name tags are thermographically printed on 1/16 inch thick plastic laminates. The thermographic process combines heat and pressure to print detailed images which may contain shades and blends. The thermal inks used in our full color process are translucent, which means any background color will alter the color of the printed image. This is the perfect process for photographic logos. 7) WHY DOES A METAL DIE HAVE TO BE ORDERED FOR PRODUCTS WITH A
       HOT STAMPED LOGO?

To hot stamp your logo onto a name tag metal dies are ordered and then used with heat, pressure and colored foils to stamp your logo onto the tag (VIEW VIDEO). It takes 2 business days to order and receive the dies.

If your tag has a hot stamped logo, we CAN NOT begin production UNTIL we have received your metal dies. Therefore the production of name tags with hot stamped logos are based on the approval of the proof AND on the arrival time of your dies.

8) HOW SHOULD I PROVIDE THE TEXT TO BE ADDED TO MY NAME TAGS OR NAME PLATES?

    Enter text  EXACTLY as you want it to appear on the name tags (including UPPER/lower case letters).

    Proof lists carefully: your list will be used to engrave your tags. Name Tag, Inc. will not edit your list. Lists not prepared to our specification may be returned for correction, which may cause a delay in production.

    Company policy is to require that all lists be in writing. Names (even just one name) will not be accepted over the phone. Lists can be presented in the form of an attachment in an email, on a floppy disk, or on a CD. Faxed lists are acceptable but a data entry fee will be charged to type the list.

    Lines of text that are constants (do not change from tag to tag and order to order) do not need to be included in your list. These lines of text may be entered once at the top of your list and labeled appropriately. For pre-designed tag styles all lines are considered variables.

    Information for each line of text must be on a separate line, OR in a separate cell of a spread sheet starting at the top of the tag.

    A blank line should be left between the information for each tag. Multiple blank lines may be left between the information for each tag, if they are consistent through the list

    If you are requesting duplicate tags enter the information for those tags multiple times.

    Remove all formatting from your list.

    A line of descriptive text may be inserted into a list to describe a unique feature of a group of tags, (Type of fastener, layout # # of lines, etc.)

    Remember, your list will be used exactly as submitted please verify all spelling and punctuation.

9) HOW DO I SUBMIT THE ARTWORK FOR MY LOGO? ARE THERE PREFERRED FORMATS?

The quality of your name tags is dependent upon the quality of the artwork submitted to Name Tag, Inc. An image from the internet (usually a .jpg, .png, or .gif saved at a resolution of 72 dpi) that looks great on your monitor will not print well. High quality image files (300 dpi or better) may be used for full color printing.

For the best results, we recommend submitting all artwork as vector files (.eps, .ai,.cdr ) with all text converted to curves or outlines.

ART FILE FORMATS ACCEPTED:
Vector Files: Encapsulated postscript (.eps), Illustrator (.ai), CorelDraw (.cdr)
Bitmap (raster) Files: Image files: (.jpg , .gif, .png, .tif, .bmp), Photo Shop (.psd), PhotoPaint (.ppt)

Image files that are embedded in a .doc or .pdf file may also be accepted if the embedded file is a vector file, or high quality bitmap file. Upload the artwork or send it as an attachment via email. Please note that it is not possible to engrave or print all logos, images, and colors a designer will review your artwork and advise you as necessary.

10) WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE HIGH QUALITY ART FOR MY LOGO?

Send us the art you have and we will advise you of the best way to proceed. We have the ability to convert your art to a vector format, or to create a high quality art file. When you choose this service your completed art file will be sent to you when your product goes to production so that you'll also have a copy of the logo for future uses.

Please note that it is not possible to engrave or print all logos, images, and colors.

PLEASE NOTE: Name Tag, Inc. doesn't create logos. This service is only to convert or cleanup existing files.

11) DOES NAME TAG, INC. OFFER QUANTITY DISCOUNTS?

Yes. Name Tag, Inc. believes that you shouldn't have to pay more to get more, and as long as your tags are identical in layouts and colors then you'll save with our quantity discount pricing. We offer quantity discounts at increments of 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000 and more. So buy more and save!

12) WHAT SHIPPING SERVICE DOES NAME TAG, INC. USE?

Name Tag, Inc. uses UPS to ship our products. In the Continental United States our standard shipping is provided through insured UPS Ground - charges will be shown on the invoice and the order will be shipped as soon as possible--extra charges for Alaska and Hawaii.

13) CAN NAME TAG, INC. OVERNIGHT SHIP MY ORDER?

Yes. Many of our products may be shipped the same day as long as the order is received by 11:00 A.M. Mountain Time. The product you are ordering and the quantity purchased will greatly influence how quickly you can receive your products. Expedited production is available and the expedited fees WILL NOT be charged if expedited times are not met.

PLEASE NOTE: Expedited production is not available at all times frames or for all jobs.

14) IS THERE A SETUP FEE FOR MY PURCHASES?

Maybe. Products that require custom work, designs, and development time are subject to setup fees, dependent on the specific product you are purchasing. However, many stock products DO NOT incur setup fees. For returning customers & reorders, most setup fees are greatly reduced and some are completely waived. Please check online or call for specific details.

15) IS THERE A MINIMUM PURCHASE QUANTITY OR AMOUNT?

Yes. For initial orders there is a minimum purchase quantity; that amount depends on what you are purchasing. Reorders have a minimum purchase of $15.00 + shipping and handling. Please check online or call for specific details.

17) WHAT PAYMENT OPTIONS DOES NAME TAG, INC. ACCEPT?

Name Tag, Inc. accepts a variety of payment options. We accept all major card credits: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. Name Tag, Inc. will also consider accepting PO's from Governmental, Educational and Non Profit entities and for reorders from previous customers.

We also accept checks, however, we reserve the right to hold the order until the check clears; if this is the case, you will be notified. To avoid the possibility of waiting for your check to clear, we can process a faxed copy of your check. Name Tag, Inc. will print a duplicate check and process your order immediately; you simply write VOID on your copy.

18) DO MY PRODUCTS COME WITH A GUARANTEE OR WARRANTY?

Yes. Name Tag, Inc. believes very strongly in its quality. we only use the highest grade material for all our products; therefore we warrant our products to be free of defects for a period of one year after purchase. Defective products will be replaced, returned to Name Tag, Inc. for repair, or have replacement parts sent to the user at our option. Name Tag, Inc. does not accept returns of custom made products or special order products; however, standard products we normally stock can be returned for 100% credit to be applied towards other purchases or a refund will be issued after the deduction of a 15% restocking fee. Name Tag, Inc. is only responsible for replacement or repair of defective merchandise and is not responsible for any consequential damages.
